PSARA License

The fees charged by the respective state for the private security agency license is defined below -

1] Fees charged for single district - Rs. 5000

2] Fees to be charged for five districts - Rs.10000

3] Fees charged for complete state - Rs.25000

The eligibility criteria for the following named above are as follows -

1] He must be a resident of India

2] Must have not been sentenced for any crime by law

3] Should be strong financially and easily bear the cost of operations.

The various state require different documents and some of the most essential documents to be needed are highlighted below-

1] Service tax department registration

2] Pan card allotment

3] The registration of establishment under shops and establishment

4] The employees state Insurance registration

5] Pf registration

6] Contractual labour act registration

7] The pattern of uniform to be defined

8] The details of the armed license

9] proof of ownership where the business is located

10] Employees characteristics verification certificates

11] Security agency logo

12] Id card of the employees

There are certain rules and regulation being laid down to be followed by the agency after receiving the PSARA license which are highlighted below -

1] There should be proper hiring of supervisors who can supervise the work of security guards and provide proper guidance and supervision to them.

2] The security agency should provide proper training to its employees and generate skills and creativity in their work.

3] There should be a proper criteria to be followed for the hiring of a security guard which includes his qualifications , skill and communications etc.

4] There are various facilities to be provided to the guards such as eye sight , health insurance and uniform etc.

The private security agency license is valid for a period of five years from the date of registration except in the state of chhattisgarh and uttaranchal where it is valid for a period of 01 year only.

It can be renewed within the period of 90 days starting from the date of expiry.Therefore it should be renewed carefully before the expiry time.
