In India , the private security agency license is compulsory for any businessman to commence the business of a private security agency.The PSARA act was formulated in the year 2005.
The major objective of the PSARA act includes look after every part of the agency i.e operation , formation ,regulation as well as disqualification etc. of the private security agencies in India.

What are renewal and expiry time of PSARA license in India ?
The private security agency license is valid for a period of five years from the date of registration except in the state of chhattisgarh and uttaranchal where it is valid for a period of 01 year only.
It can be renewed within the period of 90 days starting from the date of expiry.Therefore it should be renewed carefully before the expiry time.
